The Fields at Lafayette Way Is Taking Shape: A Construction Update

Kay Builders is making exciting progress on The Fields at Lafayette Way, an active adult 55+ community of 136 elegant single homes and 64 spacious twin villas. As you walk around this beautiful natural setting just 3 miles from historic Easton, you can now see majestic homes rising up and the entire community taking shape.

We wanted to check in with Chris Moore, Site Supervisor for The Fields at Lafayette Way, to get an update on this beautiful community.

A Construction Progress Report

Construction is well underway at The Fields at Lafayette Way. “Right now we have over 30 homes being built.” Chris says, “That includes a mix of both twins and single homes.”

As a Site Supervisor, Chris manages the entire job site, making sure all the crews work together in a safe, efficient way to turn plans into a beautiful community. He appreciates all the craftsmanship that goes into this work. On a recent tour, he admired the vaulted ceiling between the kitchen and great room on the 1st floor of the Teton Floor Plan. The room features a large, peaked window in the center that lets in plenty of natural light and looks out on the beautiful tree-lined perimeter of the community.

The twin villas all feature brand-new floor plans for this community. Kay Builders looked at the specific needs of 55+ active adults and designed these floor plans accordingly. They include a designer gourmet kitchen space and a spacious primary retreat with 9’ ceilings throughout the first floor and plenty of natural light.  

Many of the homes under construction are now nearing completion, with interior finishes just wrapping up. In fact, the first homeowners should be moving into the community soon!

With so many homes under construction, you can now sense the entire community starting to come together. You’ll get a real, personal experience and you can imagine what it will be like to live here.

Coming soon, you’ll be able to visit finished model homes. “We currently have 4 model homes being built which include 1 twin and 3 singles with different floor plans.” Chris says, “One side of the twin is a model, while the other side is the Design Studio, where you can choose the interior finishes, fixtures, countertops, lighting, and other features you’d like in your home. One of the single homes will be our Welcome Center, where you can learn more about the community and see the different floor plans and exterior treatments.”
