An Inside Look at the New Model Luxury Townhome at The Fields at Jacobs Way

We’re excited to announce that our newest decorated model home, the Pennington II at The Fields at Jacobs Way, is open and ready for tours.

The Pennington II is a 3-story luxury townhome with 3-bedrooms, 2-baths, 2-half baths, and 2,100 square feet of living space. It is the largest home offered in this exciting new community.

The Fields at Jacobs Way in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, is Kay Builders’ first community in Montgomery County. Located conveniently close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Lansdale interchange and routes 63, 73, and 113, this peaceful, serene community of 42 luxury 2- and 3-story townhomes features elegant exteriors, multiple floor plans, and lots of CUSTOM-i-ZABLE options.

We sat down with Kathy Csatari from the Kay Builders Design Team to give you a closer look at these beautiful luxury townhomes.

Lots of Standard Features, and Some Valuable Upgrades to Consider

The Fields at Jacobs Way luxury townhomes come with some impressive standard features.

Each home includes a gourmet kitchen, 9’ ceilings on the main floor, 1-car garage with decorative garage door, highly-efficient gas furnace, and our popular luxurious Owner’s Suite with walk-in-closet, built-in vanity, and framed glass shower enclosure with ceramic tile walls.

But that’s just the start of what’s possible for your home. The model home also features some exciting options. “We hope the upgrades we’ve selected for our model inspires our buyers.” Csatari says, “The model showcases some of our best CUSTOM-i-ZABLE options.”

Make Your Luxury Townhome Even More Cozy and Comfortable

You’ll experience the value of these options as soon as you enter the model. On a living room wall where many people will choose to mount a TV, the model showcases a beautiful electric fireplace that brings warmth to the room. The wall also includes beautiful trim around the fireplace and a stunning mantle that’s perfect for showing off your own personal little touches.

“An electric fireplace is a perfect option for the townhome,” says Csatari. “There’s no venting needed and no chimney, so you can put the fireplace almost anywhere. The fireplace can be wall-mounted or fully recessed into the wall. It looks beautiful and saves a lot of space.”

If you have an end-unit townhome, you can choose to add additional windows to the outside wall to give your home more natural light.

Each townhome includes beautiful, engineered hardwood floors in the foyer, flex space, powder rooms, kitchen & laundry room. An upgraded hardwood is shown in the model to show you that you can explore a variety of flooring options for your home including luxury vinyl, tile, and different hardwoods.  

In the dining room, you’ll immediately notice the beautiful lighting fixture above the table. Nearly all the lighting that’s shown in the model is an upgrade to show you a variety of fun options. “Lighting is like jewelry for an outfit.” Csatari says, “It provides sparkle and completes the look and feel of the home.”

The gourmet kitchen includes a roomy peninsula that gives you plenty of functional counter space for food prep, washing dishes, etc. as well as room for some seating.

Speaking of kitchen functionality, perhaps you’d like to include a coffee bar like the one shown in the model. It includes built-in cabinets and shelving to make grabbing your coffee in the morning even more convenient. If not, this space is usually a closet that’s great for storing pantry items. “Coffee bars like this are very popular right now.” Csatari points out, “They’re really nice to have and offer you a lot of flexibility. You can even use them as a buffet if you’d like.”

Next to the kitchen, stairs go down to a lower level flex space. Kay Builders loves flex space because it is the perfect place for you to customize to fit your specific needs. “There are so many possibilities for the flex space,” says Csatari. “You can make it a home office, game room, or a TV room. The space includes a powder room, so you could put a sleeper sofa in there to accommodate guests. The choice is yours!”

Create Serene Sanctuary Bedrooms

Upstairs, the bedrooms in the model are set up to be a peaceful place where you and your family can unwind. The owner’s bedroom has an optional feature wall of custom trim behind the bed that immediately draws your eye. “We chose to paint all the walls, trim and doors the same color to envelope the room with a dramatic, saturated hue.” Csatari says, “It creates a space that feels like a relaxing sanctuary.”

An optional tray ceiling adds height to the room, making the bedroom feel even more spacious and roomy.

In the bathrooms, you can choose a variety of options including the flooring, cabinetry, and tile in the shower. “The tile that comes standard in the home is very good quality.” Csatari says, “But we upgraded the tile in the owner’s shower to give an example of some of the other styles and options you have available to you as a buyer.”

The second bedroom upstairs features additional windows that bring extra light into the room.

The third bedroom in the model is set up as a boy’s room. A decal on the wall gives the room a very cozy feel. Csatari explains, “In this bedroom, we’ve painted the wall green and added the decal to give buyers some ideas on how they might decorate this room.”  

Csatari works hard to make the model both inspirational and attainable. “I give a lot of thought to the upgrades we choose to show.” Csatari says, “These homes have outstanding standard features, and we know buyers need to stay on their budget. In this model, we’ve shown valuable options to help give buyers some ideas. We’re very excited to be able to show off this model!”
