Local Commitment

Since 2024, the Kay Builders team has demonstrated their community spirit during the holiday season by collecting Holiday Hope Chests - gift boxes filled with toys and personal care items for children in need. These efforts supported Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, a local non-profit that provides assistance to organizations within our local community.

During their first year, the Kay team had a goal of collecting 25 filled Hope Chests and crushed their goal by donating a total of 61 boxes for boys and girls aged 9-10. Kay Builders generously matched this with a donation of 61 gift cards for kids 13 and older, bringing the total to 122 gifts! The second year of collecting Hope Chests was even more special! Our giving goal as a company was to beat last year’s record… and we did! Our final tally:

● We collected 80 Holiday Hope Chests for young children.
● Kay Builders matched this effort with a donation of 80 gift cards for teenagers.
● Our friends at Peoples Security Bank donated an additional 10 gift cards for teens.
● That's a grand total of 170 total gifts donated to help make the holidays extra special for young children and teenagers in our community!

Kay Builders is proud to support the Lehigh Valley Zoo and its mission of wildlife conservation. As a Platinum Sponsor of the Zoo’s 2025 Conservation Gala, we were honored to sponsor the unforgettable animal encounters featuring their beloved animal ambassadors. Our President, Rick Koze, serves as a dedicated board member of the Zoo, helping to guide its vision and impact. Together, we champion the importance of conservation and the creation of sustainable habitats, reflecting our shared values of stewardship and community.

Valley Youth House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with at-risk, abused, and homeless youth to lay the groundwork for their future success. Camp Fowler embodies this mission by providing adventure-based experiences that foster healing and personal development. Kay Builders was instrumental in renovating the Cabins at Camp Fowler, transforming them into a peaceful sanctuary where young individuals can flourish and unlock their potential. Following these improvements, camp attendance soared from a low of 300 campers a few years ago to over 4,000 campers last year. We also provided donations, materials, and labor to the new Carter Family Center, an essential new STEM-focused education and recreation facility capable of providing valuable indoor activities regardless of the weather outside. In appreciation of all the efforts of our President, Rick Koze, the Koze family, and Kay Builders, the Koze Family Hall at Camp Fowler was recently dedicated as a powerful symbol to show what’s possible when a community comes together to support its youth.

Kay Builders understands that pets hold a special place in our hearts and homes. That's why we proudly partner with the Lehigh Valley Humane Society to help find loving homes for animals in need, assist pet owners, and offer essential veterinary care. In a heartwarming effort to help animals find their forever homes, Kay Builders sponsored all adoption fees during the 2023 Clear the Shelter event. Kay employees rolled up their sleeves, volunteering at the shelter to walk dogs, assist in the cat rooms, and provide help wherever it was required. Kay Builders also proudly served as the title sponsor for the Humane Society’s 2024 Spring Garden Party - the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year!
