Spots in this premier active adult community are going fast, and the builder only just started signing contracts. This brand-new 55+ development will feature 218 single homes; a luxurious 7,800 square foot clubhouse, several miles of walking trails along the Liebert Creek and 11 new customizable floor plans designed for active adult living.

Groundbreaking on this bucolic community was held Jan. 25, and future residents are already staking their claim.

“We are very excited about the overwhelming demand for this spectacular community and are looking forward to making everyone’s dreams come true,” says Brian McKendry, Kay’s vice president of sales and marketing.

Offering scenic vistas of South Mountain, this development will offer incredibly convenience access to amenities. Literally footsteps away, a walking path and footbridge will provide access to the shops on Chestnut Street. The Lehigh Valley Hospital, Camp Olympic Park and quaint downtown Emmaus are each just a mile away. The Fields at Indian Creek is unique because it is so close to everything, but is also one of the most picturesque properties in the area.

As work progresses on the property – which is being constructed on a former golf course – some trees will need to be removed. Owner Rick Koze says “We work as much as possible with the existing landscape…most developers will clear cut trees from the entire site; that’s never been our approach. Koze says Kay is focused on preserving as much of the property’s topography – including trees, natural resources and environmental elements – as possible.

In the spirit of that environmental stewardship, one of the trees the builders needed to remove was donated for the Emmaus Borough’s annual holiday celebration and was displayed in the center of the town.

This private enclave of single homes, which start at $290,000, has been described as “lavish”. The 7,800-square-foot clubhouse will serve as a hub for events and activities; outside amenities will include fire pits, a pool, a bocce court, pickle ball, dog parks, water fountains and a variety of hardscape-appointed outside lounge areas.

Inside the clubhouse is a large ballroom to host large events. It will also feature a state-of-the-art gym and aerobic exercise area, large fireplaces, an indoor lounge area and many private rooms for individual activities.

All of the floor plans were developed over the past year and include a mix of tried and true features, plus many new design features that have not yet been integrated into plans serving the active adult market. Buyers will have a choice of adding a basement or second floor and will have a choice between a walkout basement, daylight basement or slab on grade.
